Spinning / Training videos
Hello everyone,
This winter, I decided to do some spinning. I bought a couple of videos from Coach Troy and Coach Carmichael on e-bay. I find both series quite helpful. (Those from Coach Carmichael show a meter with the recommended rpm superimposed on the screen, I find it quite helpful because I am more comfortable with rpms below 80 while I think a person benefits more from training at higher rpms and seeing this meter with recommended rpm between 90 and 110 really motivates me. )
Besides videos from these two coaches, do you know of other training videos ?
What other DVDs or videos do you use for spinning ?
According to you, what are the best videos for training or spinning ?
By the way, these videos tend to be rather expensive (approx $40 + shipping), unless you buy the VHS (you can find some below $10 + shipping). You can make a backup DVD copy of the VHS (for personal use, according to the law) using a video stabilizer.

I have several spinervals which I find great for riding on my trainer. I also enjoy looking at the TDF DVDs from the Lance era to help pass time.
This winter, I was lucky enough to find a used Tacx I-Magic and must say that doing the real life videos has completely changed my indoor training.
I highly recommend it, or the Fortius which is even better.

I just ordered the series "Cycling Fitness Results" from Amazon.com: Amazon.com: Cycling Fitness Results Spinning DVD Set: Movies & TV
This series consists of 6 DVDs with 3 workouts / DVD. I should be able to comment on these once I have received them on done some workouts.

Sorry, I'm a complete newbie to spinning but I have a question:
Do you do all of your spinning alone or do you take classes? For some reason, I tend to think of people doing this in a group at a gym, rather than alone at home.

Ricardo,
I've tried both and can definitely say that spinning in the gym is hard to beat.
However, the schedule of the classes don't always meet my own schedule (work, 2 young kids, etc...) and I found myself training at home more than often.
Spinning by yourself at home is somewhat boring so I bought a used I-Magic last year which is great.
As long as you're consistent, any worjout is great.
Sept 1st today... I'll push back indoor workout for as long as I can !

Wow, that's sort of expensive for me. I also do some spinning training sometimes but I'm learning it through my friends.
